The San Diego Chapter of the American Harp Society was founded in 1962
as a local chapter of the national organization in order to promote the appreciation of and study of the harp in Southern California.
The chapter sponsors several concerts by prominent guest artists each year and
also hosts an annual student recital. Membership fees support these efforts and
contribute towards a scholarship fund for graduating high school seniors going to college.
